About Us

The School City of Hammond is a thriving progressive educational community of learners. The district is comprised of approximately 12,200 students of diverse backgrounds and cultures. The students are housed in school sites consisting of 12 elementary schools, two middle schools (grades 6-8), two middle/high schools (grades 6-12), and two high schools (grades 9-12). In addition, the district offers preschool programs and a number of specialty programs.
